Case Study

Canons Brook Golf Club

Being a keen golfer Mark was particularly pleased when, in 2009, we were commissioned by the Management Committee of Canons Brook Golf Club to provide Architectural Services in support of wide ranging plans to transform the changing and function facilities at the Canons Brook Golf Club, Harlow.

The primary objective of the Club was to separate the Male Changing Areas from the Function Suite and associated toilet facilities which are all located within a Listed Building and to expose the historic timber structure that was hidden to open up the changing areas and improve the character and feeling of space.

The Golf Club were also aware that the existing facilities were not particularly suited to those with mobility issues and so an integral part of the brief was that the refurbished Male Changing Area should, as far as is practical, be designed to comply with the Disabled Discrimination Act or Approved Document M of the Building Regulations.

The project was completed in Early July 2010, on time and on budget.
