Unfortunately not all our projects meet with universal support, especially if they are deemed to be ‘different’! This particular project was for a new house in Enfield and the narrow site and the Mayor of London’s space standards meant that a ‘traditional’ approach simply wouldn’t work.

Along with drawing one of our favourite activities is model building and this project could only really be explained with the aid of a reasonable model. initially we produced a small scale sketch model so that we could work out an approach we then produced a larger scale model so we could explain our idea to the Client and Planning Officer. Unfortunately the Planning Department and Appeal Inspector did not share our excitement about the design and Planning Permission was not granted.
