269 High Street, Epping

In June 2007, architecture & design services were commissioned to seek Planning and Listed Buildings Consent for the conversion of the first floor of 269 High Street, Epping (formally Bachelor’s) to provide residential accommodation.

The building is a high profile, Grade 2 Listed, Building sited in Epping High Street and the proposed scheme required significant consultation with the Local Authority and a lightness of touch from a design perspective to ensure that the character of the Listed Building and the Conservation Area in which it is sited was not adversely affected.

Planning and Listed Building consents were granted in January 2008 and the building was subsequently sold to new owners.

In May 2008, architecture & design services were commissioned by the new owners and instructed to discharge the conditions of the Planning and Listed Buildings Consents and to prepare a Full Plans Building Regulations approval. These applications were submitted in July 2008 and preparations are now underway for construction.
