Gurnell Leisure Centre

In late 2006, as a result of the pre-existing, four year, partnering agreement with Greenwich Leisure Ltd, architecture & design services and Borras Construction Ltd were invited to tender for the refurbishment of Gurnell Leisure Centre in Ealing on a design and build basis.

The project consisted of major refurbishment of the existing Reception Area, the creation of new Gymnasium and Changing Areas and the general refurbishment of facilities on the entrance levels.

The project was completed on budget and within the contracted timescales and the client continues to be happy with the quality of design and the overall effect.

As part of this commission, architecture & design services carried out a measured survey, an accessibility assessment and produced accessibility statements and detailed design drawings to satisfy the requirements of the Building Regulations
